My name is Eric.

Before illness reshaped my life, I was a professional skier — having trained with the U.S. National Team and helped the University of Colorado win a National Championship as both an athlete and a coach. My identity, purpose, and future were all built around movement, competition, and the mountains.

At 22, near the peak of my athletic career, everything changed. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and later lupus. Over the next several years, joint damage progressed, and the medications I relied on came with their own challenges. The combination of physical pain, uncertainty, and the emotional toll of losing the life I’d built pushed me to the edge. I came close to losing far more than my career.

But in the darkest moments, I found something unexpected — meaning, clarity, and a deep understanding of what it means to heal. My journey through illness, and a near-death experience that followed, coincided with what became a spontaneous remission of my autoimmune conditions. I’ve since been on a 15-year exploration into the conditions that contribute to illness — and the conditions that can support healing.

I am passionate about understanding what helps us find balance again. My goal is not to offer cures or replace medical care, but to share what I’ve learned, highlight practices that support well-being, and help others feel less alone as they navigate their own healing path.

I believe profound change is possible when we step out of our own way, reconnect with our bodies, and create an environment where healing can occur. My long-term vision is to build an organization that collaborates, researches, and openly shares best practices for supporting natural healing across a variety of health challenges.

This website is the beginning of that work. Over time, it will grow into a home for stories, tools, and practices that I hope will bring insight, comfort, and encouragement on your own journey.

If you feel called to share your experience, contribute, or simply connect, I’d be honored to hear from you.
